Sourdough Bread: Beyond Basics Workshop May 28

Ready to take your sourdough skills to the next level? This hands-on class focuses on troubleshooting common sourdough challenges and exploring creative inclusions that add flavor, texture, and visual appeal to your loaves.
Topics covered include:
· Troubleshooting common bread issues such as dense crumb, poor rise, overproofing, and uneven shaping—plus how to correct them
· Using inclusions in sourdough, including nuts, seeds, dried fruits, herbs, spices, and cheese
· Advanced shaping techniques to evenly distribute inclusions and create beautiful, well-structured loaves
· Flavor development, with guidance on pairing inclusions to enhance taste and complexity
· This class is designed for experienced bakers who want to refine their technique, solve common problems, and confidently bake sourdough with inclusions.
· Each participant will shape and bake their own loaf during class. A variety of inclusions will be available so you can practice incorporating them into your dough.
· Light refreshments and beverages will also be provided.
· What should I bring? Just yourself! An apron is optional if you’d like to stay clean. All baking supplies will be provided.
***Must register by May 23, as products will need to be prepared prior to the workshop.
